Lightweight super star Sharif “The Lion” Bogere, has given his views on the “Fight of the Century” between WBC World Welter and WBA Super World Welterweight champion Floyd “Money” Mayweather, and WBO World Welterweight champion Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao on May 2 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Ugandan fighter told Kawowo Sports about the contrasting styles that will be on display.
In this fight, it’s two different styles. Number on Pac Man is a kind of fighter who doesn’t backup, he always keep coming forward. Which I think he needs to do in this fight. Pac Man’s chance to do anything is to keep the pressure and make the fight happen or else there is no way he is gonna make it sweet science.
Bogere is based in Las Vegas, Nevada and has met Mayweather on several major fights in the USA and his promoter Golden Boy Promotions have had a few collaborations with Mayweather Promotions.
“Floyd will pick him apart if he tries to box with him. For Floyd, he just has to do what he always does. I don’t see him exchanging punches with Manny,” Bogere added. “That’s not Floyd for you. The way I see this fight is Mayweather is gonna stay on the outside try to outbox Manny or try to counter him on every mistake he makes in the ring. While Manny has got nothing really to lose all he needs to do is make him fight him.”
Pacquiao goes into this fight with a record of 57-5,(38 KOs) while Mayweather, the favorite is 47-0,(26 KOs) in the most highly billed fight of the century.
