Here are the key facts and figures from the famous championship:

0 – No school from the Northern and Eastern regions of Uganda have ever won this championship.

Only Mvara S.S managed to reach the finals (in 2014 edition) when the tournament was hosted in Gulu, lost to Kibuli S.S 1-0.

1 – For the first time in the history of the tournament, this talent spotting ground is being hosted by Duhaga senior secondary school in Hoima Municipality.

The tournament was officially kicked off on Thursday, 30th April 2015 by the President of Uganda, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

2 – The scouts Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) sent in to Hoima for a spying mission to recruit talent for the national youth teams.

They are Kefa Kisala (U-20 national coach) and Daniel Kiwanuka (Youth goal keeping coach)

3 – Number of Preliminary games played on day four of the 2015 edition.

4 – Most number of goals scored by a single player in a game by day four of the game. Angal s.s from Nebbi beat Moroto High 4-0 with Joshua Ofoyuru scoring all the four goals.

5 – Number of officials handling a particular fixture. A center referee, two match assistants, a fourth official and a match assessor.

7 – Total number of goals scored by a team in a single fixture. Scored by Risa Standard College School, Lugazi against Mbale’s Masaba S.S in a 7-0 victory on the opening day.

8 – The Playing Grounds being used for the games. Duhaga Jubilee, Duhaga 1, Duhaga 2, Duhaga 3, Duhaga Boys, Seminary, At Andrea and Boma Stadium in the heart of Hoima town.

9 – There 9 different winners of the tournament. Kibuli (10), Kitende (7), Kololo (4), Old Kampala (2), Kitovu (1), St Leos’ Kyegobe (1), Bishop Nankyama (1), Ngabo Academy (1), Lubiri (1), Naggalama Islamic (1),Buddo Secondary school (1).

10 – Number of times that the tournament record holders, Kibuli S.S have won the tourney since it was founded 30 years ago.

12 – Number of players that London College, Nansana remained with for the tournament after screening that witnessed 6 of the other players dropped for not meeting the required set bench marks.

18 – Standard number of players per team in the tournament.

18 – Most goals scored by an individual player in a single fixture.

Augustine Nsumba of Old Kampala scored 18 goals past Kasese S.S in the 22-0 victory during the 2004 edition hosted in Mbarara. Kitende won their maiden championship in that year.

22 – Number of preliminary games played on day three.

23 – Number of editions that Century bottling company under the flagship brand of Coca Cola has sponsored the tournament since 1993.

26 – Most number of group games played per day in the preliminary group fixtures.

27 – The number of the FUFA approved officials handling the tournament (25 referees and just two match assessors).

30 – Total number of editions that the tournament has been played since inception in 1985.

50 – The Copa 2015 tournament corresponds with the celebrations for Duhaga S.S to commemorate 50 years of existence since 1965.

52 – Number of goals scored in 22 games on day three.
