Ivan Waimaza of Jinja Secondary school scored the only goal on the day as the Jinja based school overcame Mityana regional champions, Royal Giants on Wednesday.

Another Mityana regional side, Bulo Parents, who finished runners up behind Royal Giants overcame Old Kampala S.S 2-0 in a group A game.

Gulu’s Layibi College, coached by Uganda U-17 national head coach, Peter Onen beat Tororo Town College 3-0.

Francis Onekalit had a brace in the game before Steven Kidega scored the other goal.

Mbarara’s Sentah College smiled 2-0 against Star S.S with Jackson Atugonza registering a brace in the game played at Duhaga 3 play ground.

Left footed dribbling ace, Joseph Jjanjali scored his second brace in the tournament to help favorites, Masaka S.S edge Buhobe S.S.

Badru Nsiimbe netted the other goal on the day to give Masaka 6 points out of the 2 games played so far.

Opening Ceremony & Museveni’s Visit:

With the planned official opening ceremony of the tournament already confirmed for Thursday afternoon, the games that were not played on Wednesday take center stage on Thursday morning.

Kitende plays Mvara at the Seminary grounds, Kibuli S.S plays London College at the Jubliee arena and Ryakasinga CHE hosts Sironko Progressive at the Duhaga 1 play ground.

All these matches shall be played at 9 a.m before the main focus shifts to the official opening match at the Boma stadium in the heart of Hoima town.
