Former national golf player Willy Deus Kitata, will be making his bow at the PGA Tour Wells Fargo Championship Pre-Qualifier at the Rocky River Golf, Concord, North Carolina on May 7.
“I will be playing my first tournament here in North Carolina as it’s a (PGA) tour event here in the United States,” Kitata stated in a message. “I am look forward to the challenge, but at the same time improve my game out right.”
A total of 146 golfers will be taking part in this tournament and Kitata, will be the only African taking part in the tournament, but he will have to perform well for him to qualify for the event qualifier on May 11 at the same club.
Kitata is the Uganda Sports Press Association’s golfer of the year and he is also the Uganda Open Golf champion.
