The Burundi Under 15 football team from Burundi completed their Ugandan tour with mixed results.

Of the six fixtures played in Busia, Tororo, Masaka, Jinja , Iganga and West Ankole, the Bujumbura based select side registered one victory and loss apiece with 4 drawn games.

They opened with a one all draw in Busia, held the Tororo youngsters, before winning in Jinja the next day.

They played to another draw, 1 all against Iganga and they were subjected to their only loss on the tour as they fell 0-2 to Masaka Under 15 side.

The Bujumbura team then played their last game and registered yet another draw, 0-0 against the West Ankole Select side.

There was a very big turn out of spectators was at all venues where these matches were played, and the players of all the teams exhibited good football

Friends of Football (FOF) long serving secretary, David Davis Katabira remarked.

On a sad note, only one ugly incident was recorded when a Burundian player broke his shoulder collar bone  and was rushed to a Kenyan Hospital across the boarder where he was put in ” plaster”.

We are thankful to all those who helped FOF in hosting the visitors not forgetting: FUFA who gave them accommodation for two nights at the Njeru Technical Center on the 25th and 26th April,2015. City Tyres for all the mineral water. The Mayor of Iganga Haji Siraj Katono, the Chairman Iganga District Haji Ali Muwayi, the Headmistress Iganga Childrens Centre, Maska Recreation Ground, Jinja Municipal Council / Kakindu Stadium, the Referees, the DPC Iganga, FOF Area Coordinators, the Police and many others. And the media for the publicity

FOF will soon travel to Bujumbura for a reciprocal match with its Iganga Under-15.
