Volleyball Cranes were on Sunday eliminated from the 2015 All Africa Games qualifiers by Kenya after a 3-0 (25-22, 25-20, 25-18) loss at the Amahoro Stade Petite

Coach, Nason Bwesigye started with the same lineup that played against Rwanda, with Daudi Okello playing opposite the setter.

Ivan Ongom and George Aporu were the receivers while Savior Atama and Dickens Otim started in the middle.

Kenya was always going to be a hard nut to for Uganda to crack, and the moment they got a three point lead, they never let go as Uganda did the chasing. Kenya won held their ground and won the set 25-22.

In the second, Uganda tried to put up a fight, Okello and Aporu, making it count in positions two and four respectively.

Leading 8-6 and 16-14 by the first and second technical timeouts, Aporu, Okumu and Atama’s combination on the block made life hard for Kenya.

Uganda surrendered the lead as Kenya led 21-17 moments later, at 18-22 Tom Amou came on for Savior Atama, he served until 20-22.

Before serving out (20-23) moments later Aporu attacked out and Chemos finished the set 25-23.Uganda lost the fighting morale as, the block loosened, the cover also struggled.

Chemos, who Uganda had tamed the entire game was let lose in the third set, Uganda kept on fighting but eventually lost the set 25-18 and the game 3-0.

Uganda will play their last game of the qualifiers against Burundi on Monday. On the other hand Kenya will be eying a victory against hosts Rwanda to qualify for the finals of the Congo Brazzaville games this September.
