Kira Young Vs SC Villa – Mandela stadium, Namboole

Record league champions SC Villa have their eyes set on the top when they play away to relegation threatened Kira Young FC at Namboole.

The Jogoos head into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw which saw Vipers blow them off the summit having won their respective fixture 1-0 in Buikwe against Express FC.

Coach Ibrahim Kirya has labeled the tie as a must win and called for maximum focus from his boys.

“There’s no room for mistake,” he started. “The draw against SC Victoria University is now behind us and our focus is on the tie against Kira Young,” he added.

Victor Emenayo and Erisha Ssekisambu are expected to lead the hunt for goals for the visitors who sit second on 61 points; two behind Vipers who have played a game more.

Meanwhile, Kira Young who sit just three points above the drop zone are also targeting victory.

Former SC Villa Coach and player Steven Bogere who is the helm of the club has played down the game as one to revenge his controversial dismissal.

“We are focused on the game and no personal battles. We are not yet safe from the drop and so we need maximum points off Villa,” he said.

Kira Young sits 13th on the log with 28 points.
