Three foreign clubs are expected to take part in the Seals Invitational Swimming Club Championship and Camp set for July 2-12 at Kampala Parents School in Naguru.

The three clubs that have confirmed their participation in this invitational are Braeburn swim team together with USIU Dolphins from Nairobi, Kenya and Swimlab Aquatics, from Cape Town, South Africa.

“We can confirm that the three clubs have so far confirmed their participation for this Invitational two teams from Kenya and one from South Africa,” Tefiro Serunjogi, the chairman from Seals Swim Club said in a message. “We expect more teams and clubs to confirm their participation for this championship.”

Braeburn Swim team will enter Uganda Sports Press Association swimmer of the year Nabil Ahmed Saleh and his brother Fadhil Saleh, who recently took part in the CANA Zone IV swimming championship in Luanda, Angola.

The first 4 day Seals Invitational will run from the 2nd to 5th July 2015 and then will be followed by a 4 day swim camp, conducted by coach Hilton Slack of Swimlab Aquatics, Cape Town, SA (one of South Africa’s national Elite Youth swim coaches), from the 6th to 9th July 2015.

A camp wrap up gala will then run from the 10th to 12th July.

At the same time Centenary Bank has sponsored the Seals Invitational Championship to a tune of sh66m, the bank announced it’s sponsorship yesterday at their head offices on Kampala Road.
