All Africa tennis men’s bronze medallist Duncan Mugabe, has upped preparations ahead of the All Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo in September as he plays in several ITF Futures tournaments and other ones.

Uganda’s top tennis ace together with the country’s number 2 David Oringa, have just returned from Indonesia were they have been playing the 1st ISSF International Tennis Championship at the Jakabaring Sports City in Jakarta, Indonesia.

“It’ s really great the have played 3 events this year and I’m getting better on each and its evident with my results,” Mugabe said in a facebook message  “It’s good to be competiting at this level again am preparing myself the best way possible for the games and other international tournaments.”

Mugabe reached the finals of the ISSF International tournament losing to a player from Cameroun and also teamed up with Oringa in the doubles and stopped in the quarter-finals as well.

The Uganda Olympic Committee and the Uganda Tennis Association funded Mugabe and Oringa’s trip to Malaysia as they seek to improve their game and also their rankings ahead of next year’s Rio Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
