The Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) has signed a two year Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the SCOUTS movement at the UOC Lugogo headquarters in Kampala on Thursday.

The function was attended by the Chief Scout of Uganda Scouts,Prof. Maggie Kigozi, UOC president, William Blick.

The development comes at a time when the scouts are set to celebrate 100 years of their existence in Uganda.

This MoU is a provision of Olympic activities to the scouts movement during their Jamboree come August 2015.

Professor Kigozi said the partnership with UOC will further help to promote sports in scouts and the teaching of the various coaches
