The Uganda Kobs will be playing against Egypt in the next round of the CAF U-23 Championship after eliminating Rwanda but that’s not what Coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic thinks now.

In the aftermath of a 2-0 victory over Rwanda on Saturday at Nakivubo to give the Kobs a 4-1 aggregate win, Micho said that all attention now turns to the upcoming friendly against Gambia, the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Botswana.

“First of all, I congratulate the boys for the work well done,” he started.

“It’s not been an easy job against a strong side that has invested in youthful football since 2010.” He added.

The Kobs play Egypt in the last round of the qualifier with an away tie first on the weekend of July 17-19 before a return match two weeks later.

“We are not thinking about Egypt now though in whatever we do, we plan for it. Our focus now is on the June 9 friendly against Gambia and the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Botswana.Besides, there is also CHAN qualifier against Tanzania.”

If Uganda beat Egypt, they will qualify for the Championship due in Senegal later this year where the top three finishers represents Africa in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil.
