As the local transfer speculation epoch rages on, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football club is expected to finalize with the acquisition of Express and Uganda Kobs center half, Shafik Bakaki as well as Lweza’s Julius Mutyaba.

Bakaki and Mutyaba were engaged in secretive talks with top management officials on Sunday and the deal shall be brokered on Monday (1st June 2015).

Club secretary, Henry Mayeku could neither confirm nor deny the talks but acknowledged the club has 9 players whose contracts expired at the end of the season.

“We are in talks with some of those players for a re-newing clause, and well as looking for other players especially defenders” Mayeku confirmed on Monday.

Mayeku confirmed the club has already acquired Kefa Kisala as assistant coach but they are still in talks for a head coach.

Striker Robert Sentongo, who finished as top scorer in the 2014/15 Uganda Premier league is one of the 9 players whose contracts have expired.

Sentongo’s agent, Ronald Niwagira is in advanced talks with a top Moroccoan club. Kenya’s Gor Mahia, clubs in Kuwait, Oman and UAE had also expressed interest in signing the pint sized gifted forward
