Alex Kakuba, who turns out for Portugese side, Estoril Praia was among the 13 new players that trained with the senior national team on Tuesday at the Uganda Prisons play ground in Luzira.
The Uganda Cranes marked their second day at the non residential training ahead of the June 9th international friendly against Gambia, and the home fixture against Botswana Zebras on Saturday, 13th June 2015.
Kakuba was joined by 11 Uganda Kobs players who have been engaged in the CAF U-23 championship qualification campaign.
These are; Deus Bukenya, Brian Ochwo, Shafik Bakaki, Richard Kasagga, Farouk Miya, Tadeo Lwanga, Derrick Tekkwo, Hassan Fahad Muhammed Tokko, Yunus Sentamu, Kezironi Kizito, John Ssemazi, Martin Kizza.
Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) football club goalie, Brian ‘Ziggi’ Bwete was the other player to join the group. Denis Iguma, who trained with the team on Monday skipped the Tuesday session.
The group excludes the other professionals plus the SC Villa and KCC players who are preparing for the Uganda Cup final at Kyamate play grounds in Ntungamo this coming Saturday.
“The team is expected to enter residential camp on Friday” Hamza Nsereko, the media officer in charge of the team told Kawowo Sports.
