Police Metro ‘cruised past’ Uganda Police Defence Forces (UPDF) in the Uganda handball Super League overcoming with a margin of 7 goals, the game ending 28-21 in favour of Police Metro.
Police looked so lethal as they kept on attacking UPDF vigorously with the first half ending 13-6 in favor of Police.
Everyone seemed like seeing change in the second half of the game given the kind of respect the army boys have but this didn’t switch off the green light for Police as they kept attacking and eventually winning the game.
Onesmus Mukwaya and Frank Wyne Semujju top scored with 8 and 5 while Aziz Yakoub added 5 goals for the victors. UPDF had Sulaiman Muhammed and Carl Augustine Mugalu top score with 4 goals each.
In the other men’s game, Ever Green lost once again to Kifaru 33-21. Ever Green who missed so many open chances top scored through Jimmy Orotin and Job Oloya each scoring 6 and 5 respectively while Kifaru’s Jimmy Odur and Badru Wasswa each scored 7 goals with Ismail Ahmed adding 6.
In the only women’s fixture, Prison Lady Spears beat Police Lady Metro 19-13 to go top of the log.
Lamwaka Jane and Ajio Lillian top scored for 6 and 5 goals while Royce Namutosi and Shakira Bako each top scored 4 goals for Police Lady Metro.
The league resumes next weekend on Saturday 6th June, 2015 with several fixtures.
