2014/15 Uganda Cup Final:
SC Villa 1-0 KCC (Match Abandoned After 72 Minutes)
The long awaited 2014/15 Uganda Cup final between Sports Club Villa and Kampala City Council (KCC) has been abandoned over pitch invasion of suspected KCC fans at the Kyamate play ground in Ntungamo.
By the time of the abandonment in the 72nd minute, Sports Club Villa had taken the lead through a well converted controversial penalty by Erisa Ssekisambu in the 68th minute.
What started as a rosy evening ended in total confusion and shame before several invited guests and millions of fans, who were watching the game live on television across the divide.
Center referee, Robert Donney, whose appointment to handle the final had been highly debated, awarded a 64th minute after he ruled defender, Joseph Ochaya had brought down Chriszetom Ntambi in the area.

At this time, KCC players, joined by the entire bench bitterly protested the decision. After a 5 minute scuffle, the penalty was taken.
Striker, Ssekisambu, a culprit of missing two clear cut opportunities in the opening stanza of the game, finally found the back of the net.
He slotted the ball to goal keeper, Yasin Mugabi’s right as the custodian dived the wrong way. SC Villa players celebrated the goal as disgruntled KCC fans and players continued with the protests.
As play resumed, more KCC fans continued to invade the playing area. Midfielder, Hakim Ssenkumba fouled Abdul Karim Kasule, a foul that referee Donney rewarded with a straight red card.
At this point, more KCC fans invaded the playing area and Kampala City Executive Director, Jennifer Semakula Musisi walked across the playing area.
Police’s efforts to calm the situation fell on a dead end.
The choice of the match referee, Donney had earlier been a subject of contention from a section of fans, media and either team
