The reputable Ring Magazine, which is the Bible of Boxing since 1922 has placed Uganda’s star boxer lightweight Sharif “Lion” Bogere at number 5 in the 135 pounds division in their latest listings that have come out today.
Bogere moves to number 5 from last week were he was number 6 and is poised to vie for a world title later in the year after he first battles Michael “The Artist” Perez in world title eliminator next month in Los Angeles, California.
Ring Magazine number 1 and 2 in this division are Cuban Richar Abril and Venezuelan Jorge Linares, according to the rating panel of this reputable magazine, the number 1 and 2 must fight each other if any of the two fail then they will have to fight contenders 3,4 and 5.
Contenders 3 and 4 in the listing are Mickey Bey from the USA and Mexico’s Miguel Vazquez. Bogere is 4-0 in his last five fights and has a record of 27-1(19 KOs).
