South African Tucker Vorster, will be the first hurdle for Uganda’s qualifier Duncan Mugabe as he makes his bow at the Zimbabwe F2 Futures tennis championship at the Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe today.
Mugabe, plays the tournament’s top seed in this ITF Futures ranking tournament as he seeks for more points on the ATP rankings the Ugandan tennis ace has just finished playing in Mozambique where he won the F1 Doubles and finished runners-up in the F2 Doubles in the same country were he teamed up with Burundi’s Hassan Ndayishimiye.
“I will be doing two more tournament’s here then return for the Kenya Open after which I believe by the end of this month I will be 100 percent,” Mugabe said in a message recently. “After completing African competitions then my focus will switch to Europe and the All Africa games am just trying to kick the rust in my body and get back to my top best it has been a while since I have been in top shape.”
Mugabe will team once again with Burundi’s Hassan Ndayishimiye once again in the tournament the two have developed a perfect combination that has seen them reach two doubles finals.
