URA FC midfielders Yasser Mugerwa and Said Kyeyune plus striker Frank Kalanda have finally been cleared by the South African embassy and will travel to the country on Sunday for trials.

The trio was supposed to travel on Wednesday but delays in visa processing meant they postponed their movement but the players’ representative Geoffrey Kayemba has confirmed that everything is now in place.

“They will travel in the wee hours of Sunday aboard SA Airways and will commence trials immediately the day after,” Kayemba told Kawowo Sports.

Kawowo Sports had earlier reported that Kyeyune and Mugerwa were to have seven days trials at Orlando Pirates having impressed Coach Eric Tinkler during URA’s clash with the Buccaneers in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Kayemba states that Kalanda who is currently with the CHAN squad preparing to face Tanzania in the 2016 qualifiers is wanted by Free State Stars.

“Kyeyune and Mugerwa will have trials with Orlando Pirates whilst Kalanda will be at Free State Stars.”

In case the trio passes, they will join a host of Ugandans in South Africa who among others include goalie Denis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns), defender Ivan Bukenya (Kaizer Chiefs), midfielder Boban Zirintusa (Polokwane) and striker Geoffrey Massa (Bloemfontein Celtic).
