Herman Wasswa was born to score goals, and he did just that on his Sofapaka debut in the Kenya Premier League against Chemelil Sugar on Tuesday.
Coach Sam Timbe gave the deadly striker his debut in place of Ezekiel Odera and the former KCC FC striker needed only 30 minutes to find the back of net.
According to fuuta.com, Wasswa nodded the ball in from a Wycliffe Opondo’s well taken corner, he actually had a chance to fancy a brace on his debut but the forward couldn’t force his shot downwards from a free kick outside the box.
The effort turned out to be the match winner as Sofapaka won their 17th game of the season and are now on 33 points, seven behind log leaders Gor Mahia who do have a game in hand.
I will score goals if I have the midfielders to create the chances, Kenya is a new challenge and I want to embrace it, utilize every chance am given, but also keep my form and look monitor my fitness
Wasswa told kawowo sports before he departed for Kenya last month.
