Silverware and Salvation are the two targets as the former Vipers SC striker, Ceasar Okhuti seeks to revive his career with the Red Eagles.
Nobody personifies the fall from football’s neon lights to total oblivion like Ceasar Okhuti. Exploded on the scene as an 18 year old with a net-seeking missile of a right foot back in 2007 with Edioef Hills, when Bunamwaya F.C (now Vipers SC) and SC Villa embarked on a bidding war for him before the 2010 League champions won the race to sign him.
Furthermore, the football audience saw glimpse of his scoring prowess in national team colours when he rocked the 2007 CECAFA tournament Tanzania under then Lazlo Czaba.
However, his career was derailed by a morale-sapping stint at Vipers SC that saw him join South Sudanse side Juba El Nasir and of late has been piling his trade at home based club Ondm Parakah which he helped to gain promotion in FUFA Big League this season.
And Okhuti has put all those dire days at his back and is looking forward to revive his career at his new found club-Express F.C.
“I am here (Express F.C) to revive my forgotten career.” Okhuti said.
“There have been trying moments for me in the last three years, but I think I have arrived at a good club, with great fans and great history. Many local clubs had picked interest in me but i opted Express F.C because there will be no pressure on me.” Okhuti told Kawowo Sports.
He further promises to contribute to every bit of Express F.C’s search for silverware next season.
“I am to do whatever is possible to help Express F.C at least win a title next season because it has been quite long time without winning one.” Okhuti added.
Ceasar Okhuti has point. Simon Sserukuma, currently with Tanzanian giants Simba, whose career had disappeared, rediscovered his form at Wankuluku.
