Uganda, Tanzania drop in latest FIFA rankings, rise for Rwanda, Kenya and Sudan

Uganda and Tanzania have dropped places in the latest release of FIFA ranking while there has been a rise for Rwanda and Sudan.

71^st in the previous month, Uganda has dropped two slots and now lies 73^rd with 467 points while Tanzania have dropped 12 slots to number 139^th.

Surprisingly, Kenya despite failing to get past Ethiopia in the 2016 CHAN qualifiers has risen seven places and are now 116^th in the world.

There has also been a rise for Rwanda and Sudan who are now ranked 78^th and 90^th respectively having risen 16 and 18 places respectively.

Elsewhere, Uganda’s 2017 AFCON qualifiers opponents Burkina Faso, Botswana and Comoros are ranked 72^nd, 120^th and 187^th respectively.

Algeria remains the highest ranked nation on the continent in 19^th while Argentina, Germany, Belgium, Colombia and Netherlands make the top five.
