Holders Tornado B and Kampala Institute of Cricket Clubs (KICC) earned much needed victories in the National Men’s Division One 50-Over League on Sunday at Kyambogo Oval, silencing their doubters.

KICC secured a five-wicket triumph over 2012 winners Tornado at Lugogo while Tornado B defeated Charity Trust Fund by eight wickets at Kyambogo.

Tornado B recovered from their win less streak, having lost two of their last five encounters. Their last loss was against KICC last month where the side were condemned to a four wicket defeat.

“We bowled in the right channels and told our batsmen to stand up be counted,” said captain Jeremy Kibuukamusoke told Daily Monitor.
