Uganda Prisons side, Maroons Football Club continued with their pre-season preparations, playing two build ups on Friday at their fortress at Lugazi.

In the morning game, the home side played to a one all draw with Kwetekamu F.C, a Naguru based non-league team.

Salim Kiyaga gave Maroons the lead before an own goal from Simon Odong leveled matters but Maroons F.C completely dominated the game although finishing remained the team’s undergoing.

Nesta Mugisha, team captain at Kwetekamu F.C was impressed by his side’s showing;

We were fresh and played under no pressure. I am glad we picked that crucial point away from home.

On the same day, visiting Soana Football Club held the home team to a goal-less draw in a game dancing winger, Dan Wagaluka, making a return to his former side from Lweza F.C missed a penalty.

The two sides possessed the ball well but there were suspect misses from their marksmen that dented the colourful evening at office.

Maroons F.C now looks set for the Vipers Invitational Pre-season tournament that starts on August 2nd 2015 before their planned Kenyan trip if all goes as earlier planned.

Meanwhile, league champions Vipers started the pre-season preparation with a 4-0 victory at the hands of St Mary’s Boarding school, Kitende.

Peter Bwanika opened the floodgates with a well struck effort on 22 minutes for a slim one goal lead by the half time recess.

Julius Malingumu notched the second two minutes onto restart before Bwanika completed his brace 20 minutes to full time.

David Owori capped the icing on the cake with a 77th minute strike to give the reigning league champions a great start of the pre season preparation.

The 2015/16 football season kicks off with the super cup between SC Villa and Vipers on Friday, 14th August 2015 at Nakivubo stadium.

The league start has been confirmed for 21st August 2015.
