Kkobe Vs Ngabi Nsamba – Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku
A mammoth gathering of Buganda loyalists and football lovers are expected to watch the 43rd edition of the Bika Bya Buganda opener between 1955 and 1961 winners Kkobe as they lock horns with favorites, Ngabi Nsamba.
The match is expected to be attended by His Majesty the Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II at the stadium, named after his father, Mutesa II.
Kkobe’s team will be led by Nsereko Mutumba against a star studded Ngabi Nsamba team that is expected to assemble the likes of Alosious Lubega, Ronald Lubega, Dues Bukenya, Malidadi Bukenya and other stars in their ranks.
This will be the 43rd edition of the tournament played only by Baganda whose totems are aligned alongside plants and animals that they accord special respect and honour.
Mmamba Gabunga are the defending champions after beating the first winners of the tournament, Mbogo 2-1 in last year’s finals.
