Uganda army team, Simba Sports Club cast aside fatigue effects to win two games against newly promoted sides – The Saints and Maroons on the same day in the pre-season build up games.
Simba Sports Club won the morning duel against The Saints 2-0 courtesy of former Uganda Cranes veteran winger cum striker, Alosious Lubega’s stunning free kick from over 35 yards.
The pacy but crafty former SC Villa, Kinyara, Mbale Heroes, Ruhinda, Rayon Sports and Entebbe F.C player shot a venomous effort to grant Simba S.C the lead.
Malumansi headed late off a well curled in corner to seal the game for yet another victory that followed a 2-1 victory three days ago over Police.
In the subsequent game played later on Tuesday evening, Martin Mugabi scored the lone strike to give Simba S.C a slim victory over Uganda Prisons’ team – Maroons F.C.
Simba is preparing for the East African military games which Uganda will host.
The team has been in residential training for the past fortnight at Mandela Sports Hotel.
