Masaka SS (Uganda) 2-2 Alliance High School (Tanzania) – Masaka win 4-3 on penalties

Masaka SS are the champions of the 2015 East Secondary Schools Football Boys competition after beating Alliance from Tanzania in the finals.

The Ugandan representatives who finished second at this year’s Copa Coca Cola champions losing the finals to St. Mary’s Kitende edged the Tanzanians in post-match penalties after drawing 2-2 in normal time.

In a match played at Huye Campus Grounds on Sunday, Fred Kasongo and Athanas Mdamula scored for the Tanzania outfit while Julius Kazibwe ensured the Ugandans stayed in the game with a brace.

In the shootout, Masaka goalie Jackson Kigozi saved Dance Maboud’s kick while Fred Kasongo’s hit the crossbar with only David Richard, Juhudi Pincimoh and Martin Kiggi beating him while Masaka scored through Robert Ssentongo, Shakidu Mbaziira, Joseph Janjali and Wasswa Shaban as Captain Mujuzi Mustafa saw his saved by Alliance goalie Kevlin Richard.

Masaka SS takes over from St. Mary’s Kitende who were the 2014 champions.
