The 2013 Africa Rally Champion and current Zambia Rally Champion Jassy Singh will miss the sixth round of Zambia National Rally Championships as he opts for a break from competitive racing.

This comes after the youngest ARC champion failed in his bid to win a second African Rally Championship.

Singh fell out of contention for this year’s title when he rolled his Subaru during the 6th round of ARC in Uganda.

The 22 year old told Kawowo Sports he has thus decided to sit out the rest of the National Championship.

We are taking a small break from rally, that’s why we shall not be participating this weekend. Though we may take part in our sponsors event; the Samfuel Rally in Kitwe as participants.

Singh takes the break with a three points lead over Muna Singh in the Zambian Championship.

I am currently leading the championships. I did not have any threat except my team mate Muna who tried closing up on me.

Singh has now set his sights on helping his team mate Muna pursue the championship.

So for now we are focusing on the team to scoop the championship with my brother. I am confident he will achieve it since he has proven to all that he is now a top class material in the country.

The Monze Rally flags off this weekend in Zambia.
