KCCA FC Vs Simba SC – Nakivubo @ 4:30pm
Last season, KCCA beat army side Simba home and away by an identical 2-0 score line. Herman Wasswa and Brian Umony scored in the reverse fixture at Bombo while the former alongside Derrick Nsibambi was at it again at Lugogo.
Neither of the three will be available when the two sides face off in a league game at Nakivubo on Tuesday but the ten times league champions will be going for not less than three points.
Having missed out action on Tuesday last week, KCCA will be fresher of the two sides and is likely to welcome skipper Tom Masiko and Tanzanian striker Shaban Kondo back into the team after injuries ruled them out in the opening fixtures.
The two featured in the 7-0 victory over Kireka United on Sunday and looked sharp with the Kondo scoring in the game.
Bad news though is that attacking midfielder Paul Mucurezi who was meant to play his last game for the club before embarking on books till December is now out after being involved in an accident.
He joins long term absentee Derrick Nsibambi on the sidelines.
Coach Mike Mutebi is expected to hand exciting attacking midfielder Jackson Nunda his debut while Owen Kasule’s recent surge in form may see him preferred ahead of the consistent Hakim Senkumba.
It’s in goal that a big decision awaits as the coaches have failed to settle for a first in choice custodian between Emmanuel Opio and Benjamin Ochan.
Meanwhile, Simba SC; coached by ex-KCCA FC midfielder Morley Byekwaso will be in mood to earn their maiden maximum points after failing to pick maximum points from their two opening games.
Right fullback Rogers Aloro is expected to face his former side and says; “It’s a game you don’t want to miss and hoping we beat them in their own back yard.”
KCCA are currently 2nd on the log and maximum points off the army side may lift them to top of the log in case Express FC and Vipers fail to win their respective fixtures.
