Lightweight boxer Sharif “The Lion” Bogere has made a significant leap in the latest global boxing rankings and that has been due to his consistency in the ring in the past 8 months this year.
Bogere is just off a no contest bout with Mexican Daniel “Canerito” Ruiz and that result has pushed his ratings up from 37 to 27 in the latest World Boxing Council Lightweight rankings he has also been elevated to number 11 in the World Boxing Organisation listings while reputable Ring Magazine has him at number 4 in 135 pounds division.
The year has been a busy one for Uganda’s most active professional boxer in diaspora with two fight already in his bag the first one in April where he registered a 19th career Knock Out against Mexican Joksan Hernandez in Mexico City that has brought his record to 4 wins in his last 6 fights with a record that reads 27-1(19 KOs).
The Las Vegas boxing super star is promoted by Boxing Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya under Golden Boy Promotions and his trained by Kenny Adams.
