Sports Club Villa left back, Isaac Muleme has been recalled to the Uganda Cranes team of 25 players preparing for the Bunyoro-Kitara regional tour and the 2016 Campionship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifiers.

Originally left out of the squad, Muleme returns to the team that departs Friday morning for Masindi where they will play the regional select team the following day.

He replaces Jinja Municipal Council youngster, Aggrey Madoi who trained with the senior Uganda Cranes team early this month in Njeru before the team departed for Comoros.

“I am preparing the team for the CHAN qualifiers and Isaac (Muleme) is one player with character and experience needed for such games” Cranes head coach, Milutin Sredojevic said of Muleme’s selection.

Muleme was part of the Uganda Cranes final team that took part in the 2014 final CHAN tournament held in South Africa.

Other players currently part of the team who were in South Africa are Julius Ntambi, Richard Jjuuko Kasagga, Ivan Ntege and Frank Kalanda.

The team according to the programme released leaves for Masindi on Friday morning, shall train in the afternoon before playing the following day.

Uganda Cranes CHAN team is preparing for the 2016 qualifier against Sudan which takes place in Kampala on October 17, 2015 before the return leg a week later.
