The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) received $1.05 million (Ugx 3.8 billion) from the World’s Football governing body FIFA under the organization’s Financial Assistance Programme for 2015.

The amount is double of what was received in 2014 and four times what was received previously in 2013 & 2012.

According to FIFA website section of FACTS & FIGURES, the breakdown of the total amount includes monies to Youth Football, Men’s Competitions, Women’s Competition and Technical development among others which take $32,500, $250,000, $112,500 and $35,000 respectively.

The refereeing share is worth $10,000, Medical $3,000, Futsal and Beach Soccer $70,000, Planning and Administration $115,000 and Marketing and Communication $3,000, infrastructure $15,000 and Others $404,000.

As compared to 2014, Men’s competition increased by $240,000, Women’s Football also increased by $75,000 while refereeing saw a reduction of $3,000.

It remains to be seen whether FUFA will show how all this money was spent in their accounts but previously, not much of this has always been mentioned.
