27th East & Central Africa Handball Club Championship:

Rwanda has confirmed to host the 27th edition of the East and Central Africa Handball Federation (ECAHF) senior club championship slated for December 6th -12th 2015, according to Rwanda Handball Federation (FERWAHAND) secretary general Jean Paul Ngarambe.
The best clubs from Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, DR Congo and South Sudan in both men’s and women’s categories are expected to feature in the week long event.
Kimisagara, Amahoro Stadium and College of Education (former KIE) in Kimironko are the confirmed host venues.
Ngarambe, as quoted by Rwanda’s daily, New Times said;
In the men’s category, Rwanda will be represented by Police, APR and Gicumbi while in the women’s category it will be Appega Gahengeri and ES Mukingi
He further revealed that a total of 19 clubs are expected to participate in the tournament that will cost the organizers an estimated Rwf9m in preparations.
Uganda top sides, UPDF, Prisons, Ndejje, Police and Nkumba are set to seek for funds as they prepare for the championship.
Tanzania hosted the last year’s tourney in the capital, Dar-es-Salam.
Democratic Republic of Congo strongest team, Police won both trophies in either gender.
