Tornado B and Charity Trust Fund shared two points apiece on Saturday after their encounter was washed out at Budo grounds in the National Women’s 40-Over League.

Charity were chasing Rashida Kalsum’s 74-ball 38 that had set 152 but the side did not last 10 overs, the rains forcing a points-share as Tornado B remained top of the log with 56 points from 11 games.

Tornado B coach Jackson Ogwang failed to find who to fault for the premature end of the game. “This is very disappointing,” he told Daily Monitor. “On the other hand, it’s a natural calamity and there is nothing to do about it.”

Second-placed Kampala Institute of Cricket Clubs (KICC) indirectly profited from the circumstance since they still have a game in hand.

Tornado B’s chances are now henched on their three remaining matches against  KICC, Pioneer plus Jinja SS and Ogwang barely disagrees; “If we want to win the trophy, we’ll have to win all our remaining three games.”

In game one of the day, Jinja ss who won to won the toss and opted to field 56/2 in 13.4 overs overcame Wanderers 53/10 in 27 overs by 8 wickets.
