What started as a rosy dating process between Ugandan striker Herman Wasswa and Kenya Premier League club, Sofapaka F.C quickly culminated into a successful marriage when the player joined the team early June 2015.

Perhaps, less than three months down the road, there has been a bitter split. Wasswa has terminated his contract with Kenyan Premier League club, Sofapaka F.C over non payments.

The two parties have parted ways over what the player tagged breach of contract, emanating from non payment of dues amounting to $4500 (at least Ugx 16,000,000).

Efforts to get a comment from any of the Sofapaka F.C officials proved futile none could neither pick calls.

According to the player’s representative cum agent, Geofrey Solo Kayemba, his client has been unpaid for the last three months since he joined the club.

Kayemba narrated his client’s ordeal to Kawowo Sports on Wednesday;

The conditions for my player had become unbearable. The $4500 is cumulative from monthly wages and playing allowances. He is back in Kampala and a free agent ready to negotiate a new deal with another club

Wasswa transferred to Sofapaka F.C after the expiry of contract with KCCA F.C in late May 2015.

He has been at the Kenyan side for just 72 days playing in over 8 matches and scoring two goals.

At the moment, there is a serious tag of war between URA F.C and Police F.C for the services of the player who finished with 10 goals at KCCA F.C last season.

Perhaps, what stands in Wasswa’s way now, according to the FUFA Competitions and I.T director, Ali Mwebe is the ITC that is supposed to be issued by Kenyan federation.

In case the Kenyan F.A issues Wasswa’s ITC, then he will be accepted to play in Uganda

Another Ugandan, coach Sam Timbe did not renew his contract with the club and has since returned to coach at Police F.C.
