2015 National Pool Championships:
- National Finals: 24th October 2015 – Lugogo Indoor Stadium, 9:00 a.m – 11:00 p.m
The last batch of the National Pool Championship qualifiers successfully climaxed on Saturday with the central region.
Kampala, Masaka and Entebbe held the last qualifiers from which 120 players qualified to the finals on top of the 8 seeded Pool Association of Uganda (PAU) players.
PAU publicity secretary, Michael Mawanda acknowledges it has been a grueling and extremely competitive process to identify the finalists.
Each and every region of the country is represented. It has been a long and quite challenging qualification campaign. We shall conduct the draws on Thursday, 15th October 2015 in Kampala.

At the Masaka qualification center (Drakes’ Pub), Glorious Stone Ssenyonjo, Sameer Akaba and Alex Kagolo made it.
From Entebbe Red Roosters bar, it was Edward Kiwanuka, George Kyamlimpa and Ivan Ssenyonjo who made the grade.
The Rock Catalina Bar in Ntinda had the National Pool Cranes skipper, Oscar Ocacakon, Davis Akwankwasa and Humphrey Nsubuga progressing.

This year’s qualification stage produced one of the biggest shocks in history of the championship when record holder, Jonah ‘Joker’ Turigye was eliminated at the first round.
The main finals will be held on the 24th October 2015 at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium with 128 players in contention for the main prizes at stake – a car, two pool tables and Ugx 2M.
