Las Vegas based lightweight boxer Sharif “The Lion” Bogere, together with his long time trainer Kenny Adams might be punching hard on the boxing pads and the bags in the gym, but their moment for another world title shot has seen the Uganda fighter drop to number 5 in the Lightweight division in the latest Ring Magazine ratings.
Bogere has been in the top 5 for a total of 47 weeks and his last position was number 4 going into this week. Last week he was above his current position having been there for 3 weeks.
The Ugandan star fight is 27-1(19 KOs) and is looking forward too a title shot before the end of the year.
In a recent Youtube clip Bogere warned all his challengers and those in his weight division that he was ready for any of them and was not scared off any opponent.
According to Ring Magazine rules If the Nos. 1 and 2 contenders chose not to fight one another and either of them fights No. 3, No. 4 or No. 5, the winner may be awarded THE RING belt if the Editorial Board deems the contenders worthy.
