A one minute and 44 seconds video of volleyball coach Nicholas Obeke physically assaulting Kyambogo University students has gone viral.

This was during the Bishop Stuart University Open Volleyball Championship last month where the university volleyball teams (men and women) had gone to participate.

Obeke is heard asking the student what he had told them before they left Kyambogo for Mbarara.

What did I say while we were at campus? What did I communicate when we were at campus? Did you attend the meeting?

He follows his questions with slaps before moving to the next student in an environment that seemed like a restaurant and they were having breakfast.

A student is seen trying to stop the cocah from his actions before he tells him off. It is believed that the students defied Obeke’s orders and went out of camp in the night.

Obeke is a national coach with UPDF and Nkumba University in the league on top of Kyambogo together with St Mary’s Kitende. He is also a national referee in regular and beach volleyball.
