Express FC 4-0 Bul. FC
A brace from Emmanuel Kalyowa and a goal apiece from Ibrahim Kayiwa and Ceaser Okhuti were enough to take Express FC to the top of the log as they pummeled Bul. FC 4-0 at Wankulukuku.
The Red Eagles started well coming close through Vincent Kayizzi and Ceaser Okhuti but were denied by poor finishing.
However, in the 33rd minute, Ibrahim Kayiwa broke the deadlock with a well taken header off Sulaiman Mike Mutyaba free kick.
The hosts had other opportunities to extend lead but were denied by poor finishing. At the other end of the pitch, David Kizza and James Kasibante also had rare opportunities but could do little to put the ball past Martin Elungati in goal.
Two minutes after the break, Okhuti; from scoring a vital goal for Cranes in Khartoum made it 2-0 for Wasswa Bbosa’s side with a marvelous free kick that left Bul. FC goalie Salim Wekiya ball watching.
At this moment, Express FC were dominating possession and creating chance after chance but again, Kayizzi was a villain for missing a clear cut opportunity when played through on goal by Kalyowa back heel.
In the 61st minute, Kalyowa got on the score sheet with a brilliant strike after a good inter-link with Kayizzi and he made it 4-0 with another fine strike in the last minute of the game.
Express FC are now on 16 points; two ahead of KCCA and Vipers who have played two games less. The 2011/12 champions return to action on Friday with a big one against city rivals SC Villa.
