Kenya Premier League side Tusker F.C is set to appoint Paul Nkata as their new coach according to reports.

The Ugandan will be assisted by George Awok and the pair reportedly inked two year deals on Monday with the ten time Kenyan Premier League Champions.

Nkata’s charge will likely start on December 1 when Francis Kimanzi’s contract runs out. Kimanzi has been at the club for a couple of seasons bringing home the KPL Top 8 and the Super Cup.

As quoted by soka.co.ke the club chairman, James Musyoki said there are six shortlisted names and confirmed Nkata is one of them but they are yet to decide on who will be the next coach.

We are still on the search. We have like six coaches both local and foreign whom we are looking at before confirming one. Kimanzi is still our coach and on our pay roll as well until his initial contract runs out in December.

Yes, Nkata is among the shortlisted but it will be too early to confirm either because the season has just ended.

Nkanta has previously coached at SC Villa and URA in the Uganda Premier League and Nairobi City Stars and Muhoroni Youth in the Kenya Premier League.

This year, Nkata has won 11 of the 29 matches he has coached at both City Stars and Muhoroni Youth while drawing nine and losing as many.
