Algeria 7-0 Tanzania – [Algeria win 9-2 on aggregate]

Africa’s top ranked nation Algeria showed they belong to the top as they humiliated Tanzania 7-0 in Bilda to progress to the group stages of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The hosts who needed two late goals to snatch a 2-2 draw in Dar es Salaam four days ago got in front as early as inside the first minute with Yacini Brahim scoring from close range.

Ghoulam made it 2-0 with another strike after 23 minutes before Leicester City forward Riyad Mahrez tripled the lead in the 43rd minute.

Four minutes after the break, Islam Sliman who scored twice in the first leg scored from the spot with Ghoulam completing his brace from another spot ten minutes later.

Medjani and Sliman put the icing on the cake with goals in the 72nd and 75th minute as they completed the rout.

Algeria now reaches the group stages with the biggest aggregate win in the CAF FIFA 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

They join already qualified teams Uganda, Zambia, Libya, DR Congo, Congo, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Mali, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon and Egypt. Others are Senegal, Gabon, Tunisia, Guinea, Cape Verde and Morocco.
