Uganda Cranes All Stars vs. Barcelona Legends – 12th November 2015 Namboole
Uganda Cranes All Star team to face the Barcelona legends has been named by the coach Mike Mutebi on Wednesday.
Addressing the media at Big Mike restaurant in Kololo, Kampala, Mutebi hinted on the criteria of selection.
“We considered great Uganda Cranes players from different generations that will match the class and finese of the legends” Mutebi said.
The team has twenty players with two goal keepers, Sadiq Wassa and current El Merrirkh goal keeper, Salim Jamal Magoola.
FUFA CEO, Edgar Watson Ssuubi, a former Captain at SC Villa and Uganda Cranes is among the star sturdded midfield alongside speed merchant, Hakim ‘Boda Boda’ Magumba, Geofrey Kizito, Musa Mudde, Vincent Kayizza, Tonny Mawejje, Steven Bengo and Mike Sserumaga.
Others are; Phillip Obwinyi, James Odoch, Ibrahim Buwembo, Abubaker Tabula, George Ssemwogerere, Geofrey Sserunkuma, Geofrey Massa and the team captain of the day, David Obua.
The team officially starts non training on the 7th December 2015.
Residential training at Sky hotel will commence on 10th December.
Sam Ssimbwa and Paul Ssali are Mutebi’ assistants.
The Barcelona legends are expected to arrive in Uganda on the 8th December 2015.
