Sport-S ladies have already made history by qualifying for their first playoffs in the club’s history.

Making the finals looks like a bonus, but the ladies are desperate to prove that they are not here to make numbers.

Sport-S went down 3-2 (14-25, 25-24, 17-25, 25-20, 10-15) in their game one against two-time league champions Ndejje Elites.

Sport-S’ Eunice Amuron said;

We just struggled in moments we needed to concentrate and Ndejje just used that against us. But they didn’t do anything spectacular we will be much stronger and composed in Game 2.

In all the five sets, Sport-S had the chance to seal the game but they just threw away their comfortable leads against a struggling Ndejje side.

Much as Ndejje always played the chasing game, their presence on the net, especially Christine Alupo, frustrated Sport-S’ Astreede Agaaba and Amuron, not to mention the court cover that made it difficult for Sport-S to score points even after evading the block.

Both team’s secret weapon was the service, but only Ndejje exploited it fully especially in the decisive set and Sport-S never recovered.

Ndejje’s coach, Johnson Kawenyera said after the game;

Am impressed with the fighting spirit of my team, full of inexperienced players but with all of focus and was the difference between us and them (Sport-S) today.

The other semifinal had Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) come from a set down to defeat UCU Lady Doves 3-1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-13)
