2026 CAF Schools Football Championship:
Semi-final: Uganda 0 (4) – 0 (3) Benin
Uganda qualified to the final of the 2026 CAF schools football championship after overcoming Benin 4-3 in post-match penalties during the semi-finals played at the Ngoni stadium in Harare city, Zimbabwe.
Normal time of this match had ended goal-less under sunny conditions.
Uganda, represented by St Mary’s Boarding School Kitende will now play in the final on Friday, 10th April 2026.
Right from the group stages, Uganda has been a team on the mission possible, scoring 10 goals and conceding once.
Uganda’s biggest score was the 6-0 victory over Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) .
There was also the 3-0 victory over Morocco and the 1-all draw with hosts Zimbabwe in the official opening match of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Senegal defeated Morocco 4-0 during the second semi-final.
Uganda will thus square up against Senegal in the final. The third-place playoff match has Senegal against Benin for bronze.
