Seasoned FUFA Big league team, Artland Katale football club, despite finishing the game with 10 men condemned debutant side, Lira United to their 5th defeat in 12 games with a 4-1 drubbing at Masharik high school play ground on Tuesday evening.
Kimera Ibra, Marin Opolot, Naddin Galiwango and enterprising midfielder, Shakul Makera scored for Artland Katale.
Lira’s consolation was scored by Joachim Ojera.
Coming from the 1-0 away loss to Water F.C, the victory for Artland Katale was a great recovery backing to winning ways at the time the first round is climaxing.
Artland new coach, Steven Bogere marked his first victory at the helm of the club owned by former FUFA lawyer, Muhammed Bazirengedde.
The victory further cements Artland’s grip at the top of the Elgon group on 26 points from 12 games.
Meanwhile, the other match on the day witnessed Water F.C pick a 2-0 victory away to Kira Young.
