Mbarara Centenary Golf Tournament: At Mbarara Golf Course

A strong field of over 100 golfers is expected to grace the Mbarara Centenary Golf Tournament that tees off Friday, 4th December 2015 at the 9 hole Mbarara Golf Course.
One of the key battles will be in the gross category as the reigning Uganda Open winner, Ronald Otile comes face to face with fellow Toro clubmate, Adolf Muhumuza.
Mbarara Golf Club captain, Sam Kacungira anticipates a great tournament;
It is a big tournament where we shall be celebrating 100 years of the Mbarara Golf Club. We have invited members from all the Golf Clubs in the country.
Kacungira has also highlighted about the readiness of the course, which will give the golfers a great field day of golf;
It has been raining and the course is well in great shape with the greens well cut. Golfers will have a great round of golf.
Action tees off on Friday with the gross category of players of handicap 0 to 6.
Focus will be on the Toro Club players Ronald Otile, Daniel Baguma, Lawrence Muhenda, Adolf Muhumuza as they battle for the top prize.
Uganda Golf Club, Kampala based players expected are Abbey Bagalana, Becca Mwanja and Gerald Kabuye.
Entebbe’s Henry Lujja is also expected to take part.
The main event will take place on Saturday before an official prize giving ceremony.
Mbarara Golf Club has a rich history since the inception year of 1915.
