Earning promotion to the top tier league is one thing, adapting to life up there is another.

After their promotion from Serie B, Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) Saxons will do all it takes, not only to remain in Uganda’s premier division but to compete with the best.

“We are ready to compete,” Hannington Nsubuga, who plays for the side and coaches the ladies’ team revealed to Kawowo sports.

“We shall compete with everyone, we have a good team of young players and if we can add a few players then we shall have a team capable of challenging any of the top sides in the league,” Nsubuga added.

Formed in 2013, the Saxons managed to win Serie C before they were promoted to Serie B.

They will now take on Mattrixx Volleyball Club in the best of three finals series which start on Friday.

“Our attention for now is on trying to win the title in front of us, we shall have a lot of time to prepare for Serie A after that.”

The Namboole side defeated Sharing Volleyball Club in the semifinals to qualify for the finals and promotion.
