Ten man Entebbe F.C succumbed to a 3-0 home loss defeat to Proline at the Bugonga Football Ground on Tuesday.

Entebbe Goalie Peter Seluwu was on the receiving end as Proline’s Edrisa Lubega, Ali Gift and Joseph Mandela each netted a goal.

Lubega’s goal was the 12th in 11 games to cap a memorable first round for the fast paced and intelligent forward.

Entebbe was closer to a consolation but Abraham Ndugwa had his header go off target while his shot in the 18-yard box was saved by goalie Said Keni.

Entebbe F.C skipper Sunday Mukiibi was red carded after he had a bitter exchange with referee Jude Kalemela while Roch Somoka was stretchered off in the last dying minutes of the match after he had sustained an injury.

He fell on his chest after failing to head a set piece into the back of the net.

Proline coach, Baker Mbowa attributed his side’s victory to adequate preparations;

I would like thank the players for their strong mentality and team work. For us every match is a final and we always prepare adequately well.

Meanwhile, Entebbe FC Coach Richard Makumbi attributed the loss to injuries and inadequate preparations;

It was a tough match for us. The players weren’t coordinating well.

In the other matches played on Tuesday, Jinja S.S overcame visiting Wakiso United 1-0 at the Jinja S.S play ground, Bukedea Town Council nipped Water F.C 1-0 and the Kireka United versus Masavu F.C fixture could not end because of a flooded ground.

The continuation of the remaining 45 minutes on Wednesday still remained goal-less.
