Played on a rather quiet pitch, Blue wave FC succumbed to a 2-1 defeat to the visiting side Ntinda Rhinos in the Nakawa first division league on Thursday 9th December.

The game started on a dull note but was set ablaze in the 15th minute when the visiting team opened up scoring through a well taken Haruna Mogoya’s free kick.

The home side should have leveled matters moments after conceding the goal but were denied happiness by their own Emma Kanyoto who opted for a shot instead of passing it to a well positioned teammate.

Kafero’s boys missed an opportunity to double the lead in the 30th minute when goal scorer Haruna Mugoya missed the penalty that was awarded due to a handle ball.

A breather it was for Blue Wave as they quickly regrouped thus mounting pressure on the visitors.

Left back Simon Mbazira handled the ball at the edge of the box, giving birth to a free kick, a free kick that was fantastically taken by Francisco Ejuk to level matters.

Jefas J was brought on to replace George ‘Crouch’ Nkurunziza who had a terrible game right before the half time whistle.

Onto the second half, the hosts saw the chance to take the lead vanish due to poor decision making.

Ambrose Bwambale missed a golden chance when he failed to convert a well laid pass from Emma Kanyoto in the 54th minute.

Ntinda Rhinos scored the last goal of the game through a finely orchestrated move that involved Vincent Kigozi a diminutive winger, Emmanuel Olaki and Haruna Mugoya.

The trio combining wits to set up Ivan Falcao who headed past the rushing goal keeper to take home the lead.

Ivan Falcoa’s goal is his 3rd in 2 games. The result takes Vincent Kafero’s team to 4th place with 11 points.
