2015/16 Uganda Premier League:
- Bright Stars F.C 0-0 Lweza F.C
The clash of two mid-table clubs, Bright Stars and Lweza in the Uganda Premier league at the Champions stadium, Mwerwere in Matugga failed to produce a clear cut winner not did it bear any goal dividend.
Both clubs had taken quite a long time to feature in the league following the break of some league matches to give room for the national team players participate in the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge cup in Ethiopia.
As the two clubs faced off, the robustness short of match fitness was visibly eminent.
Add to the fact that Bright Stars rested first choice goalie, Mathias Kigonya.
Lweza missed the services of two key players – Michael Sserumaga and Nestroy Kizito. The duo are part of the Uganda Cranes All Stars team that will face the Barcelona legends on Saturday, 12th December 2015 at Namboole satdium.
The Mwerwere fixture virtually failed to ignite any spark expected of mid-table rivalry.
Dribbling lanky forward, Hassan Kikoyo, now at Lweza marked his first visit to the ground that groomed him.
For the draw, either side picked a precious point that puts Lweza F.C on 14 points, one better of Bright Stars.
