Bul. FC Vs KCCA FC – Kakindu @ 4.30pm

Injury plagued KCCA will have their title credentials under scrutiny when they visit Bul. FC at Kakindu on Tuesday afternoon.

The Kasasiro Boys are without half of their squad due to injuries and could only raise 13 players for the match against SC Victoria University which they won 1-0 on Friday.

The would be good news for the return of midfielder Ivan Ntege and defenders Farouk Matovu and Hassan Wasswa is saddened by fresh injuries to Sakka Mpiima and Hakim Senkumba.

Mpiima and Senkumba were pivotal in the win over SC Victoria University and will be greatly missed at Kakindu; a venue where they could only manage a goalless draw last season in the corresponding fixture.

“We are losing players to injuries at the most crucial part of the season but the good thing is that we are winning games,” said assistant coach Sam Ssimbwa.

With Denis Okot and Mpiima out, the biggest puzzle for Mike Mutebi is at right back but in Wasswa and Timothy Awany, they have versatility to fill the void.

KCCA are still leading the race on 27 points; four ahead of second placed Vipers who travel to Jinja on the same day to face Sadolin Paints in Bugembe.

The Lugogo based side will need Muzamiru Mutyaba, Joseph Ochaya and Nelson Senkatuka at their best if they are to leave Kakindu with maximum points.

The hosts are still without ex-KCCA striker Simon Okwi but in Milton Kaliisa, Augustine Nsumba and Mike Ndera, they have quality in their squad to derail KCCA’s surge.
